Great News – Pasta, Potatoes, and Rice can be good for you.
News flash ----- eating of heavy starches doesn’t have to be bad for you. You may already know this but for those of you who don’t here’s how to make these foods productive starches for your diet.

It’s actually pretty simple, all you have to do easy cook your potatoes, pasta, and rice a few hours before you are going to serve them, stick them in the refrigerator (for at least 2-hours), then reheat them once you are ready to prepare them with your meal. I’m not sure of the medical term of what this does (you can look it up on WEB-MD if you want to know) but it basically changes the chemical structure of complex carbohydrates to make them productive starches.
